APPLE VALLEY, MN Apple Valley-based company Uponor has earned its third Governor s Safety Award, the company said.
The award, presented by the Minnesota Safety Council, recognizes Uponor s Lakeville distribution center for workplace safety, the company said.
The Governor s Safety Award program gives out three different awards-Uponor won the Outstanding Achievement Award, the company said.

The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes companies with a safety program evaluation score between 75 and 90 points, as well as incident rates 51 to 90 percent better than the industry average, the company said.
