Alex Trebek has been posthumously nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for his work as the host of
Jeopardy!Trebek, who passed away last November after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, has been nominated an incredible 28 previous times for Outstanding Game Show Host as the on-air emcee of
Jeopardy!
If Trebek wins, it will cap his career with a third consecutive Daytime Emmy in the category; he won Outstanding Game Show Host in 2019 and 2020. He first won the award in 1989, and then again in 1990, 2003, 2006, and 2008. (He shared one of those prizes with

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations for the 48th annual Daytine Emmy awards on Tuesday. The Daytime Emmys will take place June 25, airing at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS and streamimg on Paramount+. The Drew Barrymore Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show are both up for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show. Barrymore also has her first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. Alex Trebek, who died in November, and Larry King, who died in January, were both nominated posthumously . Trebek is nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host for Jeopardy!, while King's nomination is for Informative Talk Show Host for Larry King Now.
