Minister of National Security welcomes new Prison Officers February 16, 2021, Port of Spain: Tasked with the strong mandate to protect society and prevent crime by facilitating the rehabilitation of offenders, two hundred and thirty-nine (239) prison officer recruits were inducted into the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service today. Delivering the feature address at the Passing Out Parade and Induction Ceremony held in honour of Batch #673, Minister of National Security the Honourable Stuart R. Young M.P. commended the newly inducted prison officers for choosing to enter into a career of service to country, especially in this challenging time of the COVID-19 global pandemic, and congratulated them on completing the rigorous training programme.

Passing Out Parade for newly inducted SLAF Air Dogs Passing Out Parade for newly inducted SLAF Air Dogs Written by Share: Colombo (News 1st); The Air Dog Unit at SLAF Base Katunayake held a Passing Out Parade on Wednesday (13 January 2021) for the newly inducted Air Dogs of the Unit. The event was held at Katunayake and the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana reviewed the parade as the Chief Guest. The SLAF Air Dog Unit has a long history of service to the nation. Initially established on 23 August 1972 the Air Dog Unit was re-designated as the No 48 Regiment Wing in 2012 and further re-designated as the Air Dog Wing in early 2013.

Mysuru boy passes out as Lieutenant in Indian Army

Mysore/Mysuru: Prashanth of Mysuru has passed out as a Lieutenant of the Indian Army, consequent on his successful completion of one year of training at the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. A total of 330 Cadets were promoted as Army Officers in the Passing Out Parade, held on Dec. 12, 2020.  Earlier, he was in training for three years from 2016-2019 at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune, a premier joint training institution for grooming leaders in the Indian Armed Forces. While undergoing training at the NDA, he also completed his graduation, in Computer Science, from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
