A plane crash near Williams killed two people from Vista, Calif., Sunday.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter crew made the discovery early Monday morning after the aircraft was reported overdue by family members. The passengers were identified as Vista, Calif., residents Timothy Gill and Joylani Kamalu.
According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, the plane took off from the Sedona Airport and was bound for the Grand Canyon Airport Sunday morning for an appointment in the Tusayan area. The crash is under investigation by the federal and local officials.

An Oregon man has been arrested for starting a small wildfire last Friday in a forested area near Blue Ridge.
Gilliam was arrested and booked into the Coconino County Jail last week for allegedly starting a small wildfire near Blue Ridge.

According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses spotted the fire on State Route 87 near the junction with S-R 260 and tried to extinguish it. They also saw a suspicious person in the area who was arrested and identified as Adam Gilliam. He later admitted to starting the fire, which was eventually put out by fire crews.
Jeremiah Etsitty

Authorities say Jeremiah Etsitty was last seen on December 21st at a family members residence in Kayenta, on the Navajo Nation. On December 26th, a third party contacted Etsitty’s employer in Tusayan and said he was going to miss work that day. The individual indicated Etsitty may have been on his way to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. Etsitty takes prescribed medications that were located in his apartment in Tusayan. It is unknown if he has any of these medications with him. Etsitty is described as a Native American male, 6’ tall, 205 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
