Greylock Federal Appoints New Member To Board Of Directors

08:50AM / Thursday, May 20, 2021 SPRINGFIELD, Mass. The Board of Directors at Big Y Foods, Inc. appointed Stephen M. Creed to the new position of vice president of distribution and logistics.    Creed is responsible for leading Big Y’s distribution teams at their newly expanded 430,000 square foot Fresh & Local Distribution Center in Springfield. In addition, he will serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors. He reports to Michael P. D’Amour, executive vice president and COO.     He began his career in 1979 with Stop & Shop, Inc. where he held various positions including produce and grocery receiving and operations. Throughout his career, he’s held positions of increasing responsibility at companies such as Spartan Stores in Michigan where he was the assistant warehouse manager. At C & S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. in Massachusetts and Vermont, he started as facility manager and then became director of perishables distribution.

Rush upon her retirement in October 2021. Rush has held the position for 23 years as the third CEO in the company’s 84-year history. “The board would like to thank Lori for the significant contribution she has made to Universal 1 Credit Union and the credit union movement over the past 40 years. Her leadership and vision have helped the credit union achieve so many extraordinary things and her passion to help others has had such a positive impact on the lives of our members, our employees, our board and our community,” said Thomas Hickey, chairman of the board of directors. “We wish Lori all the best in her retirement.”

Weyburn Credit Union to award $38,000 in Community Fund grants

To be eligible for funding, applications must be made on behalf of a Not-For-Profit organization for a project or initiative that is self-sustaining and will provide direct benefit to the communities served by WCU. As a note of interest, Weyburn Credit Union (WCU) was nationally recognized with an Achievement in Marketing Excellence (AIME) Award by the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) for their work in rebranding their Community Fund. Two years ago, WCU gave their Fund a visual refresh and streamlined the process. They branded the program with a consistent look, feel and messaging. WCU took a portion of their logo mark, affectionately dubbed “the spark”, and transformed it into a winning community.
