The search for a boater missing after it struck the Highway 11 bridge across Lake Pontchartrain ended after a body was located by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff s Office Sunday.
The Coast Guard received a call around 7 p.m Saturday about a boat with five people on board that had crashed into the drawbridge.
33-year-old Rod Willhoft of Arabi, was ejected into the water.
According to St. Tammany Fire District s social media pages, the other four passengers on the boat were airlifted to University Medical Center New Orleans by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for further medical care.
Tug Crewman Medevaced Off Louisiana

An ailing mariner was medevaced from a U.S.-flagged tug approximately 18 miles southwest of Atchafalaya Bay, off Louisiana, on Wednesday.
The U.S. Coast Guard said its watchstanders at Sector New Orleans received a call via VHF-FM radio channel 16 from the 78-foot tug boat Lady Loren stating a 35-year-old crewmember was reportedly suffering chest pains and shallow breathing.
Watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to assist, and the helicopter crew arrived on scene, safely hoisted the man and took him to Terrebonne Medical Center for further medical care.

NEW ORLEANS The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a man for a man that went missing in Jefferson Parish, Tuesday.
According to the release Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call from Zito Fleeting at about 3 p.m., stating one of their barge workers fell overboard.
The worker, Elisander Alvardo, 44-years-old, had fallen near mile marker 105 near Jefferson Parish.
Watchstanders issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast and launch search and rescue efforts.
