The newly opened Delray Beach Market is hard to miss.
Located just off downtown Delray Beach s Atlantic Avenue dining district, the food hall stands at four levels with 150,000 square feet of space and a red sign marking its name above the city. But the market, which officially opened in late April, is much more than a big building in a prime spot.
Inside, what s touted as the largest food hall in Florida is filled with more than 25 vendors offering different food styles, colorful signs and space for meals and meetups alike.
Hours: Open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Performances by a circus troupe and the Atlantic Community High School’s marching band will be just a couple of the festivities on the schedule. Local and state leaders will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. At 11 a.m., the doors will officially open to the public.
Architect Jose Gonzalez called the building bright and happy , saying its design was tropical modern.
Across the floor, different colored arrows lead visitors through the market, while hanging signs and a wide variety of cuisines from vendors will have visitors slowing down to take it all in. (Think Lebanese to Indian to fresh seafood and more.)
