Beach Cities Health District to unveils environmental study for redevelopment project

Beach Cities Health District will release the preliminary results of an environmental study for its much debated 11-acre Healthy Living Campus project on Wednesday, March 10. That study, known as a draft environmental impact report, will detail the potential consequences of the health agency’s proposed $370 million redevelopment of the Healthy Living Campus, 514 N. Prospect Ave., and what efforts could help reduce those problems. The state-mandate study, a requirement before the project can move forward, will touch on everything from construction-caused pollution to noise and traffic. The report’s release, which the agency announced Monday, will kick off a 90-day public review period.
