According to information published by the United States Department of Defense (DoD), the crew of the new U.S. Coast Guard USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) cutter departed from Pascagoula, Mississippi to conducts its first multi-month deployment to the South Atlantic countering illegal, unregulated, and unreported fishing while strengthening relationships for maritime sovereignty and security throughout the region.

The brand new Legend-class national security cutter, one of the U.S. Coast Guard’s flagships, will provide a presence and support national security objectives throughout the Atlantic. This patrol is the cutter’s initial shakedown cruise following its delivery in November.

According to news published by the Focus Taiwan website on December 11, 2020, Taiwanese Coast Guard took delivery of new of a new missile corvette and one patrol vessel during a ceremony in Kaohsiung. The new vessels are a 600-ton corvette named Anping and a 35-ton fast patrol boat. A ceremony was held on Friday, December 11, 2020, in the southern city of Kaohsiung to mark the deployment, with President Tsai Ing-wen attending.
