Suspect charged in Watson Blvd shooting

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) GBI agents have charged a North Carolina man in the Warner Robins officer-involved shooting. The incident happened Thursday in Bealls Outlet parking outlet.
Authorities identify the man as 27-year-old Derik Edward Jones.

Special Agent Todd Crosby with the GBI says an officer was at the Walmart in the same parking lot for an unrelated shoplifting call.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating after Warner Robins police officers and a suspect exchanged gunfire at a Watson Boulevard shopping center.
The GBI says cops were already responding to a shoplifting call at the Watson Boulevard Walmart a little after 2 p.m. Thursday when a customer told police a man was breaking into cars in the parking lot.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Thursday afternoon.
A GBI news release sent Thursday night said Warner Robins Police got a call just after 2 o’clock about a suspect in custody for shoplifting at Walmart, located at 2720 Watson Boulevard.
The release said officers arrived about ten minutes later and spoke with Loss Prevention and the suspect in custody, and that while they were talking, a person approached them saying someone was breaking into cars in the store parking lot.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. A man was shot and killed in Milledgeville late Friday night.
According to a release from the Milledgeville Police Department, officers responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. of a gunshot victim.
30-year-old Keion Jackson was found around 1124 Oconee Street, he had been shot in the stomach.
Jackson was taken by Emergency Medical Services to Navicent Health in Milledgeville and then taken to Navicent Health in Macon where he died.
