5 The Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) Headquarters Procurement Management Assessment Program (PMAP) team visited NAVFAC Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) to conduct a contracting audit from Mar. 22-29, 2021, and a Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program audit from Mar. 29 - Apr. 2, 2021.
The contracting audit consisted of reviews across three categories: organizational leadership, management and internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the GCPC audit consisted of reviews across three categories: regulatory compliance (transactional reviews), internal management and controls (oversight), and other tested elements such as delinquencies, corrective actions, and property accountability. NAVFAC EXWC received satisfactory ratings on each of the contracting factors and passed each of the GCPC categories.

Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington recently implemented automated vehicle sharing technology in the National Capital Region, aiming to optimize usage of its fleet of vehicles.
NAVFAC Washington provides transportation services to military commands and government agencies in the Washington metropolitan area and is piloting this automated system for the worldwide NAVFAC enterprise. To do so, the command has partnered with Agile Fleet, a Virginia-based company which provides fleet management solutions to government, university, utility and commercial sectors. Agile Fleet’s system, called FleetCommander, automates motor pools and provides comprehensive analytics designed to help right-size vehicle fleets.
FleetCommander automates vehicle sharing through a combination of hardware and software. The software eliminates the need for an on-site dispatcher by allowing drivers to request a vehicle online at any time, day or night. Establishing

RICHMOND, Va., April 8, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Dominion Energy has been awarded a 22-year, $47.9 million Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) for Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington provided contracting and technical support, awarding this project 24 Sept 2020 on behalf of the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) supporting MCB Quantico.

The final two groundbreakings for earthquake recovery projects took place April 1 onboard China Lake.
The events marked the milestone of beginning active construction on all Military Construction (MILCON) and Restoration and Modernization (RM) projects awarded in FY2020 for the repair and construction of research facilities at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake.
These groundbreakings are part of the China Lake Earthquake Recovery program which include $2.3 billion in MILCON and $400 million RM projects resulting from damage caused by two massive earthquakes in July 2019. These projects are the ninth MILCON project and the first RM project to start in the last six months, according to a news release from NAVFAC OICC China Lake.
