There will, however, be extra sets of eyes on Ocean County roads for the next couple weeks though as the county and Sheriff Mike Mastronardy announced that they will be taking part in the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety grant funded Click It or Ticket Program, which begins today.
“The New Jersey seatbelt law requires all motor vehicle passengers in the front and back seats to buckle up,” Ocean County Sheriff Mastronardy said in a statement. “A police officer may stop a vehicle and issue a summons for violations of this law. Wearing a seatbelt, regardless of seating position, increases your chances of surviving a crash by as much as 75 percent. This is an important step in keeping with safe driving.”

Manchester Police announced the arrests Sunday of Brikel Morrison, 29, and Anthony Wimbush, 31, following a multi-agency investigation that including their Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Ocean County Prosecutor s Office Narcotics Strike Force, both of which were looking to trace the source of cocaine being dealt across the community.
Investigators learned that Wimbush and Morrison used several hotels in Ocean County as well as a storage facility to store and then distribute the cocaine.
Manchester NET Detectives obtained court-authorized search warrants for a hotel room, storage unit and vehicle which gave them the evidence to identify Wimbush and Morrison as the suspects.
