Stevedoring company ISO Limited has been convicted and ordered to undertake significant health and safety improvements, following the death of a Gisborne employee in 2018.
Maritime Union s Craig Harrison says something needs to be done to prevent further deaths.
He d like to see the Government enforce a code of practice within the industry.
