Omani ports now off Lloyd’s high risk zones list
The Sultanate has secured the removal of Omani seas, ports from the list of high maritime risk zones maintained by Lloyd’s company and London-based maritime insurance companies.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency, (ONA), said : “The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, the Maritime Security Centre and Asyad Group, has been able to lift Omani seas and ports from the high maritime risk zone endorsed by the risk rating panel of Lloyd’s company and London-based maritime insurance companies.”

Muscat: The fisheries control team was able to seize and confiscate a foreign fishing vessel while it was attempting to enter the Sultanate.
A statement issued online by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: The fisheries control team in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, in cooperation with the Maritime Security Centre and the concerned authorities, managed to seize and confiscate a foreign fishing vessel while entering Omani waters.The legal procedures in this regard were completed.
RNO Commander receives official of Swiss Federal Council

Muscat: Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received at the Maritime Security Center (MSC) on Tuesday Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Federal Council and Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed views on several matters of joint interests between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by RNO senior officers, the Swiss Ambassador to the Sultanate and the delegation accompanying the guest.
The Swiss guest, accompanied by the RNO Commander, toured the MSC’s facilities.
