Suspicious person call leads to charges May 10, 2021 Reading time: 3 min

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On May 3, 2021 shortly before 10:00 a.m Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on County Road 31 in North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male was in contravention to his previous release conditions.
Jason CUMMINGS (age 39) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Failure to comply with conditions of a release order – CC Sec. 145(5)(a) – five counts
The accused was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on May 4, 2021.

SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) SD&G Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have seized over 5,000 cannabis plants in South Glengarry Township.
CSCU officers, along with members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, SD&G OPP Crime unit, Canada Border Services, Ministry of Labour, Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit and officers from Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Detachment executed a warrant on February 17, 2021 at a location on Hay Road. South Glengarry Township and Fire Department also attended as part of the investigation.

SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On January 15, 2021 shortly after 8 a.m., Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a Boat being taken from a property on Old Highway 2, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight January 13-14, a 2006 26 foot Blue and white Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSV boat and Black 2013 Shor SLI trailer with white vertical PVC posts (Ont marker L6191Y) was stolen.
