Saraki disclosed that the meetings were part of efforts to understand issues causing disaffection as the PDP seeks to strengthen its fold.
The former Kwara Governor is the Chairman of the party’s Reconciliation and Strategy Committee.
“As part of our ongoing efforts to reconcile the leaders and members of our great party, last week, I had a meeting with the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose”, he said.
“As a follow-up to that engagement and consultation, this evening, I just wrapped up an extensive but fruitful meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

The Zamfara State government has closed down all boarding schools after the abduction of 317 schoolgirls of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe.
Briefing newsmen in Government House Gusau, on Friday, Governor Bello Matawalle explained that the schools must remain shut down until the security situation has improved in Zamfara.
He said, “We have no alternative than to close down all boarding schools so as to douse the fear being entertained by parents and guardians due to the recent abduction of the schoolgirls in Jangebe.
“We are, however, doing everything possible to rescue the children and reunite them with their families.

Hunters and members of vigilance groups repelled an attack by Boko Haram on Friday in Borno State.
Some of the insurgents, who attacked motorists, were eliminated during a gun duel at Modu Kellu and Burembe communities.
A resident told PRNigeria that Boko Haram members on about ten motorcycles ambushed travellers on a road that stretches through the villages.
The hunters and vigilantes mobilized after they got the information and stormed the scene along Maiduguri-Magumeri highway.
The security team was led by one Mallam Aisami. Six motorcycles and weapons, belonging to the terrorists, were recovered.
After overpowering the attackers, the local fighters took the bodies and motorcycles to Magumeri. They are expected to brief government security agencies.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun State chapter, has called on the Federal government to immediately arrest and prosecute an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi, for allegedly promoting banditry in the country.
The students’ body said it was not pleased with the manner in which the Federal Government is treating Gumi like a Messiah.
NANS opined that Gumi should be treated like a “criminal” for supporting armed bandits who have been kidnapping and terrorising the country.
DAILY POST recalls that Gumi has in recent times been negotiating with bandits, while also stating that most bandits are not criminals.
