Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday warned over the increasing crowd on Mumbai’s road saying failing to control this would result in stricter restrictions in the city. Speaking at the inauguration of multiple infrastructure works, Mr Thackeray said, “I was really concerned when I saw crowd on the streets of Mumbai today. We have not yet lifted lockdown restrictions in Mumbai and Maharashtra as corona scare is not over yet.”

Tobacco usage – India perspective: The use of tobacco leads to nearly 8 million deaths every year globally, according to the World Health Organization, predominantly due to lung and heart diseases. Out of these, over seven million deaths are a result of direct tobacco use, and the rest due to exposure to second-hand smoke. About 80% of the deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries.
