Manila City gov t offices to implement 30% working capacity starting March 15

Published March 14, 2021, 7:51 PM All Manila City government departments, bureaus, and offices will only allow 30 percent of their employees to physically report for work starting Monday (March 15) amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the city. This was announced by Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Sunday (March 14) after an emergency meeting with the city’s department heads regarding the COVID-19 situation in Manila. “Babalik tayo sa pagbabawas ng mga tao sa city hall para precautionary measure (We will return to limiting the people in the city hall as a precautionary measure),” Domagoso said in a live broadcast on Facebook. “I believe in you na kahit kaunti lang tayo, makakapag-function tayo efficiently (that even if there are a few of us, we will be able to function efficiently).”

Baseco drug buy-bust ends in shootout; 1 killed

Police identified the slain suspect as a certain “Popoy,” of legal age. Investigation showed that elements of the Baseco Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation against Popoy at around 2:50 a.m. A poseur buyer reportedly bought a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 from the suspect. When Popoy noticed the approaching police officers, he allegedly fired at them. The suspect sustained injuries and was brought to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center where he died.. Investigation is ongoing.

Manila COVID-19 storage facility can store nearly a million vaccines

Ana Hospital can be used for all the vaccine brands available in the market because it is equipped with different types of refrigeration units.

Ana Hospital, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, and Ospital ng Tondo. The other six Advance Cardiac Life Support ambulances will be stationed at the Manila City Hall for emergency use. The ambulances can be used for free by residents of the city.  In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said they will continuously aim to upgrade the city’s facilities, especially its medical facilities and equipment amid the pandemic.  “Layunin po ng Pamahalaang Lungsod na lalong paunlarin ang ating mga medical facilities and equipment upang mapataas din ang antas ng kalusugan ng bawat Batang Maynila (It is the city government’s aim to further improve our medical facilities and equipment to increase each Manileño’s quality of health),” he said.
