On behalf of the Presidium, Nguyễn Thanh Hải, member of the Congress’s Secretarial delegation, read a list of political parties, international organisations and friends who had sent congratulations to the Congress. As of January 30, the Congress received 368 congratulatory messages and letters from 167 political parties, 18 party organisations and organs of foreign parties and countries, six regional and international organisations, 130 political, social, friendship and people’s organisations, 26 foreign diplomatic representative missions in Việt Nam and 21 individuals from 93 countries.

The Politburo members comprise of:
- Nguyen Phu Trong, Party General Secretary and President;
- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc;
- Pham Minh Chinh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission;
- Vuong Dinh Hue, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and head of the delegation of National Assembly deputies (14th tenure) of Hanoi;

VOV.VN - Delegates to the ongoing 13th National Party Congress on January 28 heard and debated a report on the personnel work of the new Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure.
About 200 delegates are expected to be elected to the new Party Central Commitee for the 2021-2026 tenure.
The strategic-level personnel work has been carried out following conclusions of the 12th Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam to consider candidates to the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and key posts of the Party and State for the 2021-2026 tenure.
According to Mai Van Chinh, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, the Party’s new leadership line-up will have a reasonable composition of personnel to ensure a stable inheritance and a steady transition between generations.

The freshly concluded Party conference has reached high consensus on a list of nominees, including special cases, to be elected to key posts at the upcoming National Party Congress scheduled for Jan. 25 - Feb. 2.
These special cases include incumbent members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the personnel set to be introduced for voting during the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.
