Traffic stop leads to CDS possession arrest

47abc February 21, 2021 EASTON, Md. – Police pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation, and ended up finding a large amount of crack cocaine. The Easton police department tells 47 abc, on Sunday just before 2p.m., police stopped a vehicle on E/B Ocean Gateway in the area of Chapel Road. A K-9 scan was completed, which gave a positive alert for the odor of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Police say, one of the passengers in the vehicle, Demetrick Cephas was searched, and was found with a large amount of crack cocaine. Cephas was arrested and charged with possession and distribution of a controlled substance. Cephas was charged and transported to the Talbot County Detention center while waiting to be seen by the Talbot County District Court Commissioner’s office.

× Union City resident Juan Tejada, his alleged co-conspirators, and his alleged supplier have been charged with various narcotics offenses along with his intricate web of nearly two dozen associates. Following a year-long investigation, law enforcement arrested 20 people, dismantling a large-scale narcotics trafficking network spanning Hudson, Essex, Bergen, and Union Counties and New York City. Officers seized more than 9,400 grams of fentanyl, over 3,400 grams of cocaine, over 1700 grams of methamphetamine, over 800 grams of fentanyl pills, about eight grams of heroin, a loaded gun, and $118,395. The street value of the drugs is approximately $1 million. Abbeville Man Arrested after Report of Alleged Kidnapping 37-year-old Michael BJ O Bryan, Jr. of Abbeville has been arrested after Maurice Police responded to a local business where a woman was alleging to have been kidnapped. According to a press release, Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon (whose office assisted in the case) says O Bryan tried to get away on foot but was quickly taken into custody. His vehicle was then searched and drugs and a firearm was found by police. O Bryan has been charged with the following: Possession of Schedule I, (Marijuana) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I , (MDMA) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II, (Methamphetamine)
