Two separate incidents resulted in multiple felony arrests over the weekend.
The San Marcos Police Department arrested one person for aggravated assault at I Don’t Know Bar on Saturday, and four individuals at an incident at The Village on Telluride early Sunday morning.
“Huge thanks to our officers for their hard work and diligent efforts to solve these crimes and keep our community safe,” Chief Stan Standridge said in a statement.
SMPD said officers were dispatched to I Don’t Know Bar 650 E. Hopkins St. for an aggravated assault on Saturday at approximately 8:10 p.m. Police said bar staff reported that a Hispanic male identified as Edward Eddie Rodriguez Jr., 36, of Bertram pulled a knife on a bouncer.
On Dec. 8, at 10 p.m., the Newport Police Department stopped a vehicle after learning the driver, Wiley Pearce, 35, of Newport, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
During the traffic stop suspected narcotics were observed in the vehicle and Newport Police Drug Detection K9 Zoe was deployed. K9 Zoe conducted a search on the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle and located a commercial amount of two types of Heroin, Methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material, drug use and sales paraphernalia, and a large sum of US Currency.
Pearce was arrested at the scene and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on the following charges;

RAPID CITY, S.D. Two West River residents have been sentenced to federal prison time for methamphetamine-related charges.
Daniel Gray Eagle, age 39, was sentenced on December 14 to 188 months for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and two counts Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. The conspiracy charge stated that Gray Eagle knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to distribute, and possess with intent to distribute, more than 500 grams of methamphetamine in South Dakota. Gray Eagle routinely traveled to Rapid City to acquire large amounts of methamphetamine, which he distributed in Eagle Butte. His first possession count came after a high-speed chance on the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation in January 2018, and the second from a foot pursuit in March of the same year.

Fort Madison, Ia- The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has announced the arrest of a Donnellson man on Felony and Misdemeanor charges.
On Friday, December 11th, 48-year-old Johnny Garcia of Donnellson was arrested in the 2100 block of Fort Madison.
Garcia was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for Methamphetamine 3rd or Subsequent Offense, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, Carrying Weapons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Suspended.
The arrest of Garcia stems from a traffic stop conducted during a multi-agency proactive enforcement operation conducted by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force, Lee County G.H.O.S.T., Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Donnellson Police Department, Montrose Police Department, and Probation/Parole.

Decatur police say 13 gambling machines were seized from a business on Monday.

The Decatur Police Department took 13 gambling machines from a business on Monday.
The department says it received an illegal gambling complaint on Monday at Cecil’s Treasure Chest at 830-B McGlathery Lane. Investigators went to the business to speak with the owner and found Alberto Calderon.
While speaking with Calderon, investigators saw three people in a back room playing what appeared to be gambling machines, according to police. They say Calderon was also found to be in possession of meth, marijuana and a large amount of cash.
