New Court Date Made for Man Facing Charges from 2017 Drug and Weapon Bust on George Gordon s First Nation | GX94 Radio

By Ryan Young May 25, 2021 | 5:08 PM Another adjournment in the case of a man committed to stand trial, on charges stemming from a June 2017 drug and weapons bust on the George Gordon’s First Nation. 29-year-old Cody Gordon faces one count of Trafficking a Controlled Substance, and his next appearance in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, is set for June 18th. In June of 2017, Mounties raided a home on the reserve, seizing a loaded rifle, knives, over seven-hundred rounds of ammunition, and a small amount of crystal meth. Gordon is also committed to stand trial in Regina QB from February 28th to March 15th of next year, for First Degree Murder, in connection with the September 2016 death of former Yorkton resident Mackenzie Keshane.

Man gets 2 years for assaulting officers

Paul A. Wilson A local man accused of assaulting two police officers has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to the charges. Paul Adam Wilson, 34, of Nancy, was sentenced in Pulaski Circuit Court May 12 on two counts of third-degree Assault on a Police/Probation Officer. Charges of Resisting Arrest, second-degree Fleeing or Evading Police (On Foot), and Public Intoxication through a Controlled Substance (excluding Alcohol) were dismissed in exchange for Wilson s guilty plea. The local grand jury indicted Wilson last February in connection to an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of December 15. According to Wilson s arrest citation, Somerset Police responded to a call about a man, believed to be impaired, walking in the middle of US 27 just before 3:20 a.m. that morning. Wilson was found walking north near Light no. 11 but ran to the southbound lanes when he saw the first marked police cruiser.

This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff s Office: On Monday at 1 a.m. Pettis County Deputies were assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident, when a subject not involved with the accident stopped on the roadway. Deputies made contact with the subject, who was operating a Dodge Dakota. During contact, Deputies could smell the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from the driver, identified as Aaron J. Sims. Sims placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.     On Sunday, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Highways 50 and 65 for expired registration. The driver, Bobby Johnson of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. After a K-9 Unit alerted on the vehicle for the presence of a controlled substance, a female passenger, Kimberly Dickinson of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail.
