Burnaby RCMP finds distressed woman, unconscious man and a huge multi-drug operation inside home licensed to grow weed

Article content “The amount of dangerous drugs this seizure has kept off our streets is staggering,” Inspector Matt Toews, officer-in-charge of investigative services at Burnaby RCMP, says in the police statement. “With the number of overdoses we are seeing lately, this is a huge victory for public safety in the City of Burnaby and the Lower Mainland,” Toews continues. Responding police arrived just before 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 29 to find the woman in distress, but otherwise safe. After confirming the woman’s well-being, officers checked on the unresponsive man, who was located close to a large-scale illicit drug operation inside the home, the RCMP reports.

Two people arrested near Estevan for alleged drug trafficking

One male and one female were taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of an amount of methamphetamine and cocaine, a large knife and other items used for the sale of those drugs. Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed at a residence located in southwest Estevan. Further evidence to support the sale and distribution of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized. No arrests were made at the residence. As a result of the investigation, Daniel James Lowenberg, 29, and Lindsay Mueller, 39, both of Estevan, are charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public under the Criminal Code.

Ongoing drug trafficking investigation leads to significant drug seizure

Fentanyl is odorless and tasteless, and therefore hard to detect. A lethal dose of pure fentanyl is potentially less than two milligrams – that is equivalent to about two grains of salt.   As a result of this investigation, completed by FSOC-N with assistance from the Prince Albert Integrated Crime Reduction Team and Warman RCMP, 28-year-old Dustin Troy McDougall, from Osler, SK, has been charged with the following offences:
