Attempted Murder Charge In Tobermory

Last Updated: Apr 6, 2021 10:51 AM Grey Bruce OPP have laid an attempted murder charge in Tobermory. Police say they were called at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31st to a firearm incident on Head Street where someone had driven past a house and fired several bullets at it. According to OPP, a witness followed the suspect’s vehicle and as they approached it, several shotgun rounds were fired at the witnesses’ vehicle, which police say narrowly missed the occupants. The vehicle then took off. Police say there were no injuries. Later that day, OPP officers located the accused in a vehicle and arrested them without incident.

Two Charged with Drug Trafficking: Cocaine Seized

The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation and enforcement action on Friday, April 2, 2021, in relation to illegal drug trafficking within the City of Regina. The RDU executed five Controlled Drugs and Sustances Act (CDSA) search warrants: three on vehicles, one on a residence in the Qu’Appelle Park area and another on a hotel room in the south end of Regina. As a result of the enforcement, 40 year-old Scott Taylor PATRYLUK of Regina, Saskatchewan, and 66 year-old Richard John DOUGLAS of Chemainus, British Columbia, were arrested in relation to the investigation. Article content WHITEWATER REGION – A driver from Ottawa is facing charges following a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 17. On April 3, just after 6:30 a.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 17 east of Whitewater Road. The preliminary investigation found that the involved vehicle, which was travelling westbound, crossed the eastbound lane and left the roadway, eventually coming to rest upside down in the ditch.
