Orient Electric Ltd Spurts 3 13%

Orient Electric Ltd has added 11.53% over last one month compared to 2.24% gain in S&P BSE Consumer Durables index and 1.67% drop in the SENSEX Orient Electric Ltd gained 3.13% today to trade at Rs 304.6. The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index is up 0.46% to quote at 33438.89. The index is up 2.24 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Voltas Ltd increased 2.45% and Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd added 1.68% on the day. The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index went up 42.87 % over last one year compared to the 48.62% surge in benchmark SENSEX. Orient Electric Ltd has added 11.53% over last one month compared to 2.24% gain in S&P BSE Consumer Durables index and 1.67% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 3839 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 93817 shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 304.6 on 15 Mar 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 138.15 on 23 Mar 2020.

Ahluwalia Contracts gains on bagging order

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) rose 1.55% to Rs 304.70 after the company secured a new order aggregating to approximately Rs 128 crore. The order has been awarded by the Construction Division-1, Building Construction Department, Patna (Bihar) for the construction of state guest house Bodh Gaya on engineering procurement basis (EPC). The total order inflow during the FY 2020-21 stands at Rs 2,214.44 crore, the company said in a BSE filing made during market hours today. Ahluwalia Contracts (India) s project portfolio encompasses projects across residential and commercial complexes, hotels, institutional buildings, hospitals and corporate offices, information technology (IT) parks and industrial complexes. The company s consolidated net profit declined by 30.34% to Rs 14.72 crore on a 7.66% rise in net sales to Rs 536.13 crore in Q3 FY21 over Q3 FY20.

Adani Welspun discovers gas in Mumbai Offshore s Tapti-Daman sector

Adani Welspun Exploration (AWEL), a joint venture between the Adani Group and Welspun Enterprises, announced its first ever gas discovery in the NELP-VII block MB-OSN-2005/2.AWEL holds 100% participative interest (PI) and is the operator of this block. Spread across 714.6 square km, the block is located in the prolific gas-prone Tapti-Daman sector of Mumbai Offshore basin where production is already underway by another operator/other operators. The pay zones and flow rates encountered have exceeded the company s initial estimates. With the information gleaned from adjoining fields/areas, this discovery is of substantial significance for both the company and the nation. AWEL was awarded the block under the New Exploration Licensing Policy VII bid round. Early indications pointed to the occurrence of gas-bearing reservoirs within the sand stone reservoirs of the Mahuva and Daman formations.
