Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Mar. 10.
Ryan R. Deroo, an associate in Troutman Pepper’s Construction Practice Group, has been named the 2021 Child Advocates Rising Star for his pro bono work with the Support Center for Child Advocates, where he represents several children in the foster care system. The Child Advocates Rising Star award recognizes a new volunteer attorney who has gone above and beyond to support a child client by providing outstanding legal representation.
“I’m honored to receive this distinction from the Support Center for Child Advocates,” Deroo said. “Every child deserves a home, safe from abuse and neglect, and I will continue to do what I can to help the Support Center and children of Philadelphia. The Support Center staff have been terrific to work with, and I highly encourage interested volunteers to become involved with the organization.”
