BILLINGS - During School District Two s board meeting Monday, board members unanimously voted to extend Superintendent Greg Upham s contract through the school year of 2024.

BILLINGS â Whether Billings School District 2 will offer remote learning next year hinges on the future of COVID-19 in the community and availability of funding, school Superintendent Greg Upham said Tuesday.
Billings students will have completed half of their 180-day school year this Friday, either learning remotely or in the classroom. Upham said the plan is to offer live instruction next year, but it s still undetermined whether remote learning will be as robust or even offered next fall.

Billings schools will reduce the required quarantine time for close contacts of COVID-19-positive individuals from 14 days to 10 days- with additional safety precautions, Superintendent Greg Upham said Thursday.
The CDC had said a shortened quarantine time would slightly increase the chance an asymptomatic person could spread infection, but not by much.
Billings schools won t reduce the quarantine period to seven days, as RiverStone Health now recommends, because of limited testing available from the state, according to Upham.
