A 26-year-old Bellbird Park man - believed to be a member of the rival Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang - is the latest to be charged over the alleged hit on Mr Bowden in October last year. Earlier today a 37-year-old Wanora man was also charged with murder, which follows the arrest and charging of seven others on Sunday. Detectives from the state’s homicide and gangs squads along with other specialist officers raided a string of properties along the glitter strip on Sunday, making a total of eight arrests. The seven charged with murder will appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday. A 37-year-old Wanora man also taken into custody is accused of unlawful weapons possession and will face Ipswich magistrates Court on July 29.

05:24 EDT, 10 July 2021 A senior Queensland bikie has been charged with the murder of outlaw motorcycle gang defector Shane Bowden on the Gold Coast. Queensland Police said on Saturday the arrested 46-year-old from Chuwah was believed to be the president of the Brisbane West chapter of the Mongols. His name is Ian Robert Crowden, according to media reports. The president of a rival outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged with the murder of Gold Coast bikie Shane Bowden. Mr Bowden was allegedly shot 21 times by two gunmen in the garage of his home in Pimpama in October last year. Police allege the president of Brisbane West Chapter of the Mongols counselled, directed and financed the premeditated execution of Mr Bowden .
