The recent budget speech by Finance Minister Tito Mboweni brought good news and bad news for investors wanting tax efficient investment opportunities. The bad news was that sunset clause relating to Section 12J of the Income Tax Act would not be extended. Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida is taking her mental health campaign a step further by hosting a virtual running event on Thursday to highlight wellness of the mind and raise funds for the SA Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag).
The event will be hosted on Strava, a social network for athletes, together with Discovery Vitality.
Discovery Vitality said it was supporting Musida’s initiatives because it was “deeply invested in improving mental wellbeing, particularly through physical activity”.

MISS South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida has spoken out against bullying.
This follows the tragic incident where pupil Lufuno Mavhungu was bullied until she decided to take her own life.
It’s reported that Lufuno could not take the bullying anymore. A video of her being bullied went viral, and later that day she died by suicide after overdosing on tablets.
Reacting to the bullying, the Limpopo-born beauty queen said Lufuno’s story had triggered her.
“When I was between the ages of 11 and 12, I got beaten up so badly by a group of guys and girls, and I remember apologising so much. I remember the girls cheering on the guy that was kicking my ribs until I realised that it wouldn’t stop. So I didn’t bother crying because I knew it wouldn’t help,” she shared.
