A concert involving Tedeschi Trucks Band has been announced as one of three concerts put on by Beach Road Weekend in July.
Beach Road Weekend is making a comeback, this time to celebrate Tisbury’s 350th anniversary, with three concerts on the weekend of July 23-25 at Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven.
The first concert features Grammy awardwinning Tedeschi Trucks Band, on July 24 at 6 pm. Tickets will go on sale to the band’s fan club tomorrow, to Beach Road Weekend list on Thursday, and to the general public on Friday.
While there are three concerts during Beach Road Weekend, only Tedeschi Trucks Band was announced on Tuesday. Additional bands and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.

The biggest run of Billy Strings spring tour took place at a venue that s only months old, as the Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center in Columbia, S.C., hosted Strings and some 13,000 total fans over four nights, April 1-4.
The venue is operated by Cola Concerts, a new collaborative venture between Chicago-based touring entertainment company Innovation Arts and the Roberts Group, a promoter that does business in Columbia.
Prior to the pandemic, Innovation was best known as promoter for tours by the likes of Hillary Clinton, Neil deGrasse Tyson and David Sedaris, and for Beach Road Weekend, a music festival in Martha s Vineyard. The donation will fund Nahrein’s work for the next decade.
UCL’s president and provost Dr Michael Spence said it was “a seminal moment in the decolonisation of knowledge production in Iraq and other regions in the Global South”.
The Nahrein Network has until now been funded by the UK Research and Innovation Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Global Challenges Research Fund.
UCL’s head of history, Prof Eleanor Robson, said ancient Mesopotamia had only really been the subject of academic interest since the 19th century, with most studies coming from a western perspective.
“This outstandingly generous donation will help transcend barriers associated with a fragile, post-conflict state and ensure Iraqis can reclaim their ancient heritage as local history – with all the social, cultural, economic and educational benefits that can bring,” she said.
