DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Door County Public Health is canceling coronavirus vaccine appointments because of a lack of supply.
The department says it expected to be able to provide shots for 700 people per week. However, the county says it only received 30% of its order from the state.
While clinics will continue to be provided, appointments will not be scheduled until the county knows how much vaccine it will receive.
The county wrote in a news release…
“This is not the news any of us had hoped for. We recognize this situation creates great challenges, frustration and disappointment. We will continue to work together with our community partners to plan and prepare for the time vaccine becomes more widely available to our county. We ask for your continued patience and understanding.”
