New COVID vaccine site opens Friday northeast of Birmingham

The University of Alabama at Birmingham will open a fifth COVID-19 vaccination site Friday, this one located northeast of Birmingham at a church in Center Point.
The new site, at AOH Cathedral of the Cross at 1480 Center Point Parkway, will be a drive-thru clinic in the church parking lot, offering shots by appointment only beginning March 19.
