Richard Marx will take his fans behind the scenes of his life and career when he publishes
his memoir ‘Stories To Tell’ on July 6th.
The book will follow the career of the legendary 80’s hit maker, including his meteoric rise to the top with his 1987 debut album, which was certified triple-platinum with four top 5 singles. Marx will also cover how he became a high demand collaborator after the success of that debut album.
The memoir will also cover Richard’s work with musical icons like

Sometimes I m a bit torn about what to put in this column.
There are generally two directions things can go. Firstly, and the most tempting, is I can have a bit of a rant about something.
That is, if nothing else, cathartic. It might be picking at the Oscars like last week, and wasn t that a show? Though in retrospect I would tend to add another four-letter word beginning with “s” in front of “show”. Or I could be banging on about some local annoyance, though occasions for that have certainly decreased now the seven dwarfs, or however many councillors there were, have been temporarily retired.
Richard Marx is writing a memoir called Stories to Tell , but since he s Richard Marx, it s also going to come with a soundtrack. Now, he s shared a snippet of one of the songs he s just recorded for that project. Before he became a star in his own right, a then-unknown Richard co-wrote the song Crazy with the late country superstar Kenny Rogers . It was a massive hit, topping the country chart. Richard has now recorded his own version of the song for his book s soundtrack. Sharing a snippet of the recording on Twitter, Richard wrote, Just recorded my vocal on Crazy which I wrote with Kenny Rogers in 1983 when I was 19. Hit #1 in ‘84. Did it at my son
