Dubai: The Bahraini Health Ministry on Friday reported 305 coronavirus infections, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 98,878.
The death toll in Bahrain due to COVID-19 is still 366 as no new fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours.
There were 354 recoveries from COVID-19, increasing total recoveries to 95,594. There are currently 15 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 46 cases receiving treatment. In all, 2,903 are stable out of a total of 2,918 active cases.

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Friday reported 263 new cases of coronavirus while 141 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 148,521 and recovered in Qatar to 144,619, leaving 3,654 active cases under treatment.

Speaking to BBC, Akbar Al Baker said, “I think that this will be the new norm that everybody will have to produce a vaccination certificate to board an aeroplane - and not only to board an aeroplane, a lot of countries would require that you be vaccinated before you come to their countries.”
“I think it will be a joint ICAO, IATA and WHO project, to introduce a safe pass for people whose vaccination certificates will be recognized internationally,” he added.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), together with relevant authorities, has been working above and beyond to protect the health and safety of its population.
In addition to ensuring the availability of COVID-19 testing centers, treatment facilities, one of the Ministry s first responses to the crisis was setting up a dedicated hotline for the public.
The hotline 16000 has played an important role in answering public queries regarding COVID-19 while also enabling the public and healthcare staff to access main health care services provided by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).

The microsite highlights essential information about the vaccine in Qatar including groups, which will be given priority, answers to some common questions, among others.

Priority Groups
Everyone is at risk of getting COVID-19 and developing serious complications from the virus, but certain population groups are at higher risk.
It is therefore more important for these groups to receive the vaccine as soon as it is available.
Initially, vaccines will be prioritized for three key population groups, according to MoPH.
