A brief history of the Airbus A319
The Airbus A319 is the second-smallest member of the European manufacturer’s A320 family. The A320 itself entered commercial service in the late 1980s, with a longer version, the A321, following in 1994. This gave the family a high-capacity option, but what about on routes where demand was lower? For such purposes, Airbus launched the A319.

First Qatar To Saudi Flight Takes Off After More Than 3 Years As Nations Normalise Ties
Qatar Airways landed in King Khalid airport as the first commercial flight between Qatar and Saudi in nearly three and a half years as Saudi lifts travel ban.
In a major landmark decision, air travel between Qatar and Saudi Arabia resumed effective from January 11 after the two nations normalised ties in a historic agreement that now dissolves the long-standing blockade between Qatar and the Gulf quartet. Qatar Airways took off from Doha’s airport as the first commercial flight between Qatar and Saudi in nearly three and a half years. The flight departed at 10:45 GMT from Doha’s airport and touched down in King Khalid International Airport at 12:10 GMT. Meanwhile, a Saudi Airlines plane flew from Riyadh to Doha departing the kingdom on Monday.
Qatar Airways Increases Flights to São Paulo, Brazil
(06 Jan 2021) Qatar Airways has increased flights to São Paulo, Brazil and expanded codeshare cooperation with LATAM Airlines.
The expanded agreement will allow Qatar Airways passengers to book travel on 45 additional LATAM Airlines Brasil flights and to access over 40 domestic and international destinations on the South American carrier’s network, including Brasilia, Curitiba, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Rio de Janeiro, São José, Lima (Peru), Montevideo (Uruguay) and Santiago (Chile).
LATAM Airlines Brasil passengers will also benefit from access to the recently expanded 10 weekly flights to and from Sao Paulo, operated by
