By Grace Blazer Photo: Getty & iHeartMedia iHeartMedia Miami/Fort Lauderdale is proud to assist the Support Surfside Fund in generating monies needed to assist the victims and loved ones of the unprecedented June 24th building collapse just north of Miami.  Established by The Miami Foundation and other partnering South Florida community organizations, eight nonprofits will receive initial grants to assist those affected by the Surfside tragedy. These nonprofits have been active on-site working tirelessly throughout this catastrophe. The need on the ground is urgent and community foundations have mobilized to meet immediate needs, coordinating with emergency service personnel to support those affected. These eight nonprofit organizations are working closely with impacted families, community-based organizations on-site, local governments, and FEMA to determine where philanthropic funds are most needed.
