Catholic District School Board Of Eastern Ontario To Host Career Expo For Local Women SHARE ON: An upcoming career fair is looking to get local women involved in the trades. The Build a Dream #DreamBig Career Discovery Expo takes place Wednesday and is aimed at women who want to find a career in the skilled trades. Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator with the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, Dan Lortie says they’ve found in certain areas, women can be more suited to skilled trades than men.  “As far as their attention to detail and following instructions,” Lortie said. “So, we’re just trying to get very positive role models out there to explain how this is possible and you can do this. It’s not just a male-dominated environment anymore – there are a lot of young women making phenomenal strides.”
