Gonzaga University
Delaney Uhlman, of Hanover, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Uhlman is a graduate of Norwell High School. To qualify, students must earn a GPA between 3.5 and 3.84.
St. Sebastian s School
Luke S. Eastwood, Aidan E. Noonan, Finneas C. Noonan and Ryan D. Steele, of Norwell, were named to the honor roll for the third quarter at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham. Students who earned honors with distinction are Eastwood, ninth grade; Aidan E. Noonan, 11th grade, and Ryan D. Steele, 10th grade. Finneas C. Noonan, seventh grade, earned high honors. To qualify for high honors, students must earn an A-minus or higher in all subjects. To qualify for honors with distinction, students must earn a B or higher in all subjects.

Joe Lynch
Joe Lynch, a long-time Tiburon and Marin County resident, passed away on March 11 after a short illness. He was 86.
Joe was born in 1934 in Fairbury, Nebraska, to Dr. George Lynch and Emelda Toomey Lynch. He spent his boyhood years in Fairbury and in northern Kansas surrounded by a large and loving extended family.
Joe and his family moved to San Diego following World War II, where his dad was stationed after serving as a U.S. Navy surgeon in the Pacific theater during the war. When his dad was transferred to Oakland, Joe attended Castlemont High School, graduating in 1952. He followed his older brother, Mike, to Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., graduating with a business degree. Joe remained a lifelong Gonzaga fan and especially looked forward to tuning into Zags basketball telecasts. While at Gonzaga, Joe enlisted in the Army ROTC. After graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant and served as an artillery officer. Joe also served in the U.S. Army Rese
Former Ketchikan local Travis Gelbrich recently was hired as the Alaska Airlines Vice President of Inflight, a position in which he manages 5,600 flight attendants, as well as the management staff that supports them.
Now a resident of Sammamish, Washington, with his office in SeaTac, Gelbrich spoke by phone about his new position, as well as about his experiences growing up in Ketchikan.
Gelbrich said he moved to Ketchikan with his family when he was in third grade, and that he graduated from Ketchikan High School in 1990.
âKetchikan was a great place to grow up, and I have a lot of lifelong friends that I went to school with and grew up with, and I have great, fond memories of growing up there,â Gelbrich said.
