HALIFAX The province of New Brunswick is looking for volunteers to serve as mission staff members for Team New Brunswick at the 2022 Canada Summer Games and the 2023 Canada Winter Games. In a news release on Wednesday, the province says the chosen individuals will play lead roles in supporting athletes and coaches, and contribute to ensuring all preparations are in place. Tammy Scott-Wallace, New Brunswick s Tourism, Heritage, and Culture Minister, says the call for volunteers is a reminder of positive experiences that await New Brunswickers. We hope to return to normal for these upcoming Canada Games so New Brunswickers can once again come together and share their interests with those in other provinces, said Scott-Wallace. I encourage those interested to apply for this exciting opportunity.”

Aiden Yip returned from the 14th World Danceweek in Poland triumphant last week after he and his Canadian dance team took part in a high-level competition with 1,835 dancers from 24 countries.
They competed for six days for prestigious International Dance Organization (IDO) titles in jazz dance, modern and ballet. The organization has 90 member countries.
Held in December at the Polish Resort Hotel Golebiewski in Mikolajki, Poland, the competition was the highlight of the year for 13-year-old Aiden.

The City of St. John’s, NL has been named the official Host of the 2025 Canada Summer Games, the Canada Games Council announced on Thursday.
The province previously hosted the Canada Winter Games in Corner Brook in 1999 and the Canada Summer Games in St. John’s in 1977.
“It is wonderful to see Newfoundland and Labrador host the Canada Games for a third time, 2025 will bring excitement and opportunity to our province once again, said Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey in a statement. I want to thank all those working behind the scenes to make this possible. This is truly an amazing opportunity for St. John’s, our capital city and for our province.
