It’s not just fans who are eager to attend live events again.
The managers of SaskTel Centre have switched gears following the provincial government’s announcement that all public health restrictions could be dropped by July 11 if vaccination targets are reached.
“We’re focused right now on getting the building ready,” said Scott Ford, SaskTel Centre’s executive director. “We’re power-cleaning the building again. We’ve done a lot of things to get ready after COVID for our reopening plan.”
Things like switching to mobile tickets and installing a new tap payment system at concessions and kiosks have been added to reduce contact once the building can host big crowds again. Increased sanitization protocols will also remain in place.

Prior to turning pro, Williams attended Campbell Collegiate in Regina before heading to South Dakota State University to play Division 1 NCAA basketball. Over the course of three years with the Jackrabbits, Williams averaged 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 31.7 minutes. “We’re excited to welcome Kai back to the Rattlers”, said Rattlers GM Barry Rawlyk. “Kai is a local product and a consistent player and we are happy to have him back ahead of the 2021 CEBL season.” “I’m really thankful and grateful to be given another opportunity to play with the Rattlers for the summer,” said Williams. “I’m looking forward to working with the group of guys the organization has been able to assemble and playing back home on Saskatchewan soil.”
