A hangar mishap in October 2019 that damaged the plane normally used to fly the prime minister to foreign summits has cost nearly $11 million.
The total cost of fixing the damaged Royal Canadian Air Force CC-150 Polaris aircraft, known as “01,” comes to $10,940,170, according to figures tabled in Parliament last week.
Late in the day on Monday, a spokesperson for the Department of National Defence said Ottawa will attempt to have the contractor pay for the repair costs.
