Britain s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan will co-chair a fundraising concert urging more vaccinations that will air May 8, which the Biden will also participate in, event organizers announced Tuesday.

Along with US president Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris will also appear at Vax Live: The Concert To Reunite The World where performers will include Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, J Balvin and HER.
Put on by Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization, the campaign is pushing businesses to donate dollars for doses, and for G7 governments to share excess vaccines.

INGLEWOOD (CNS) - After a season of hosting NFL games with empty seats, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood will finally make a major public debut this weekend, hosting thousands of fully vaccinated spectators for a charity concert aimed at boosting confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and raising funds for vaccination efforts worldwide.
VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World, sponsored by relief organization Global Citizen, will be the first major event with spectators at the $5 billion stadium. The concert will be held at SoFi Stadium at 6 p.m. Sunday, but it will be taped and shown on multiple platforms May 8 as part of a worldwide fundraising event.
The two will be appearing along side heads of states and renowned musicians in a bid to promote confidence in vaccines.
Prince Harry and Meghan will serve as the campaign chairs of Global Citizen’s effort to deliver Covid-19 vaccines to medical workers in the world’s poorest countries.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will appear at “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World,” to be taped Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and air on ABC, CBS, FOX, YouTube and iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations on May 8, Global Citizen, the anti-poverty nonprofit, announced Tuesday.
Harry and Meghan are also leading an effort to raise money for the vaccine-sharing program COVAX, which hopes to produce $19 billion to pay for the vaccines for medical workers.
