DETROIT The border between the U.S. and Canada will remain closed for most travelers for at least another month as the closure has been extended until May 21. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protections, the border is also closed between the U.S. and Mexico until that date.
The USCBP did say those authorized to cross the border for work, supply chain needs, or other approved actions will continue to be allowed across the borders.
“We are maintaining cross-border activities with Canada and Mexico that support health security, trade, commerce, supply security, and other essential activities while taking critical steps to protect our citizens and to curb spread of the virus,” the USCBP wrote in a press release.
