Zelensky Lobbies for Ukrainian Membership in NATO
April 7 , 2021 (EIRNS) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a flight forward effort to put Ukraine’s entry into NATO on a fast track. On April 6, he spoke by phone to both NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in order to gain their support and a day earlier had spoken to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the same aim in mind. During his discussion with Stoltenberg, Zelensky called for a greater NATO presence on the Black Sea, according to the readout published by the Ukrainian presidential office. “Such a permanent presence should be a powerful deterrent to Russia, which continues the large-scale militarization of the region and hinders merchant shipping,” he claimed.

KIEV - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have discussed growing hostilities in eastern Ukraine and bilateral military cooperation, the president s press service said Tuesday.
During their telephone talks, Zelensky briefed Trudeau on the growing number of ceasefire violations along the contact line in Donbas, which lead to the killing of 10 Ukrainian soldiers in less than two weeks.
Zelensky thanked Trudeau for cooperation within the framework of the Canadian military training mission UNIFIER and suggested expanding the training program for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, increasing the number of Canadian military instructors in Ukraine.

And at the same time, the very chemistry of the global ocean is changing, driven by the growing carbon load in the atmosphere from burning fossil fuels. The ocean is warming up, losing its oxygen and acidifying.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of Canada’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
“Thanks for the call, Volodymyr – it’s always good to touch base and work on building the strong partnership between our two countries. Know that Canada’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity will never waver,” Trudeau said on Twitter in response to Zelensky’s tweet.
