U.S. President Joe Biden held his first bilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday, where climate change and China took centre stage. Seeking to turn the page on former U.S. President Donald Trump's unorthodox foreign policy, Biden reiterated his commitment to the U.S.-Canada relationship, and pledged to work together on achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. "We also doubled down on our efforts to tackle climate change. It was really, really encouraging. Now that the United States is back in the Paris (climate) agreement, we intend to demonstrate our leadership in order to spur other countries to raise their own ambitions. Canada and the United States are going to work in lockstep to display the seriousness of our commitment at both home and abroad."
