WASHINGTON: Soon after taking charge as the 46th President of the United States (US) on Wednesday, Joe Biden issued orders to reverse a number of Donald Trump’s divisive policies including returning to global health body, joining climate pact and rescinding Muslim ban.
Standing on the steps of a US Capitol that was ransacked exactly two weeks earlier by pro-Trump mobs seeking to overturn his victory, Biden swore the presidential oath on a bulging century-old family Bible moments after Kamala Harris officially became America’s first woman vice president, reported international media.

We are only three days into this new era and the recently inaugurated president s hand is on fucking fire. President Biden has already signed over two dozen executive actions and proclamations, largely undoing many of Trump s most destructive policies.
In his first week in office, Biden s orders primarily focused on bolstering the federal government s coronavirus response, reversing Trump s ass-backward environmental rollbacks, halting paranoid immigration policies, and attempting to provide a wee bit of economic relief. These executive actions can be pretty dry, so we re hoping to make this a little fun for you.

World leaders reacted to news of Joe Biden’s inauguration and initial actions in office. Biden signed executive orders confirming that the United States would rejoin the Paris climate agreement and the World Health Organization. But Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau criticized Biden for canceling the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
After surviving and recovering from an alleged assassination attempt, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny returned to Russia despite warnings from officials he would be detained. He was transported to a detention center in Moscow.
