Wagner claims the search warrant stated that Garbin gave an affidavit the month before stating that Michael Figueroa was concealed in her home with heroin, but Wagner says she doesn t know who Figueroa is. The defendants searched Wagner s home for several hours, making holes in her walls, destroying furniture and several items went missing. She was also made to stand outside wearing only a bathrobe for several hours and was not allowed to dress any warmer. She claims none of the seized items in her home were returned.

Joel Gonzalez-Gomez, 31, of Chipas, Mexico, was sentenced to 135 months in federal prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and illegal entry of a removed alien, according to a release from the office of Mike Stuart, United States attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia. A 2019 drug investigation in Kanawha County led to the execution of a search warrant at Gonzalez-Gomez’s Charleston residence on Nov. 20, 2019. Investigators seized more than a kilogram of methamphetamine, 12 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of cocaine and three firearms during the search, the release said. Gonzalez-Gomez was arrested the same day at a residence in Cottageville.

WV man may have killed parents with an ax, police say

A West Virginia man has been charged with murder in the death of his parents, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office reports. Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford told WVMetroNews that investigators were trying to determine if an ax found at the scene was the murder weapon. Tsukasa and Claudette Kambara apparently died from multiple lacerations, the sheriff’s office said. The sheriff’s office said neighbors called 911 to report the Kambaras son, Takanao Kambara, had been going door to door and “was piling up paintings across the street” from the home. When a deputy arrived, Takanao Kambara, 26, told the deputy “there were two dead bodies inside the house … they did not die naturally,” the sheriff’s office said.

At the weekend, the sheriff s office reported that a 16-year-old boy had been charged with four counts of murder in connection with the killings. On Wednesday, the sheriff s office said a second teenager the 17-year-old girl is also being charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the case.

A young man has been charged with murdering two adults and two children in West Virginia. Police in Elkview discovered the bodies of a man, his wife, and their three and 12-year-old sons in their home on Cemetery Hill Drive in Elkview on Sunday morning after receiving a 911 call from a relative who had not heard from the family in days. The grandfather, who drove to the home around 10:40 AM, found the door unlocked but entered and found three bodies. Police later found a fourth victim under a bed. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said a fifth resident of the house, a 16-year-old male family member, was found safely elsewhere. He has been charged with four counts of murder in connection to the incident.
