Is the name Mustache perfect for this guy or what? Mustache previously lived in a home with lots of other kitties and not many people. So when the 4-year-old feline first arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society, he was pretty nervous. But with lots of patience, treats and toys, the CHS team has helped Mustache learn to trust and make friends.
He now loves to play and “make biscuits” on his blankets. He’d love a quiet, calm home where he can explore at his own pace. He enjoys having hidey houses, but is always willing to come out for a wand toy or laser pointer! A family with shy cat experience and another resident kitty! would be ideal for Mustache. If there are kiddos in the home, they should be 14+.

CONNECTICUT, USA With an increase in people adopting pets during this pandemic, the Connecticut Humane Society has some reminders to keep your furry friends safe through the winter.
Younger and older dogs have a harder time regulating their body temperature, so always be mindful of that.
You should continue to exercise and walks with your pets, but make sure those walks are shorter than normal.
CT Humane Society clinics expand to Norwich
Staff reports
Connecticut Humane Society will bring eight pop-up clinic days to Norwich over the next 18 months due to a $47,000 grant from PetSmart Charities.
Each wellness clinic sets up for one day with CHS staff in a central location, like senior centers, low-income housing and other community buildings. More than 1,400 pets have been served since the program began in 2016 all at no cost to families and individuals in need through wellness exams, weigh-ins, nail trims and flea/tick collars, as well as food, blankets and other pet supplies.
CHS has provided follow-up medical care on a limited basis in the past for pets from the wellness days, but the grant and program expansion will allow more of that to happen at CHS’ Fox Memorial Clinic and collaborating veterinary partners.
