Rice County road sections closed for K-14 realignment

Sections of four Rice County roads have now been closed to through traffic to allow construction of the K-14 realignment.
Two of the roads will be permanently closed, while the others will reopen following the construction of after overpasses, a Kansas Department of Transportation news release states.
A half-mile of Avenue U between 15th and 16th roads and the section of Avenue W between 19th and 20th roads will be permanently closed.
Sections of Avenue X between 19th and 20th roads and Avenue V between 18th and 19th roads are closed for construction but will reopen as overpasses in about a year.
