Easy to say that this past week was a bust for actual new road work and that's okay. TxDOT was working hard and is still working hard to make sure our roads are safe from snow and ice. But starting Monday it will be back to normal temperatures and normal road work will start back up. Here is what roadwork will be taking place all next week.
Bowie County
The biggest project going on in Bowie County is the Interstate -30 widening project. Construction is ongoing from Kings Highway in Nash to the Arkansas State Line. Eastbound traffic on Interstate 30 will be moved to the outside lanes. Concrete barriers are being installed as well.
State Highway 8 – At Sulphur River, replacing bridges.
State Highway 93 – Between US 82 and US 67, installing sidewalks.
State Highway 98 – At Anderson Creek, replacing the bridge. All traffic restricted to one lane with signal lights controlling traffic through the work zone.
Cass County
Harrison County
US 59 – From one mile south of FM 1997 to FM 1793, installing safety barrier cable. Daily lane closures.
